I teach crop protection related subjects and specialize in plant nematology. The main focus is in plant-nematode interactions with an objective of understanding plant defense signaling during nematode attack. Currently, I am researching on nematodes of finger millet (Eleusine coracana) at Meru University of Science and Technology and Ghent University, Belgium. Previous research was on the role of plant hormones auxin, jasmonic acid (JA) and salicylic acid (SA) during infection with Meloidogyne incognita in mutant and transgenic Arabidopsis plants
