AAA 3255: FIELD ATTACHMENT (45 LH)

PURPOSE OF THE COURSE

Give learners experiential learning in the agriculture and related fields.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course the trainee should be able:

1. Relate the practices learnt in place of attachment with principles learnt in class
2. Fit well in the work place

• Analyse the workplace outlining the challenges and suggesting ways to improve the performance of the firm/organization

Course Content

Eight (8) weeks in either agricultural extension service, NGOs dealing with agriculture and related enterprises, processing or marketing firms. Students will be attached for 8 weeks in Public and private agricultural /horticultural farms, industries and institutions where they will gain relevant experience in production, processing and marketing of agricultural produce/products and submit a report.
